Visiting Retinal Specialists
We partner with Retina and Vitreous Surgeons of Utah (RVSU), a group of board certified ophthalmologists who are fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery and specialize in diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous. These specialists visit our office monthly.

Former Chief of Residency and Director of Ocular Trauma at Bascom Palmer, Dr. Isom's current practice interests include severe ocular trauma, diabetic retinopathy, complex retinal detachments, macular degeneration, retinopathy of prematurity, and ocular oncology.

A U of U graduate, Dr. Corey’s practice interests include diabetic retinopathy, complex retinal detachments, uveitis, retinopathy of prematurity, and ocular oncology.

Dr. Stringham's experience includes serving as Chief of Residency and Director of Ocular Trauma Service at Bascom Palmer.

As a board-certified specialist in vitreoretinal surgery and ocular oncology, Dr. Welch brings extensive expertise in managing complex retinal conditions and ocular tumors, including macular degeneration, retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, macular hole, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular melanoma.

Aaron D. Smalley, MD
Dr. Smalley is a comprehensive ophthalmologist providing medical and surgical eye care services to patients of all ages. His interests include diagnosing and treating various medical and surgical eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, dry eye, eye infections and eye injuries. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at Penn State Hershey Eye Center and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Utah Ophthalmology Society.
Austin J. Woolley, MD
Dr. Woolley is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in advanced cataract surgery, delivering consistency and precision in challenging cataract cases. His experience in different intraocular lenses and surgical techniques helps patients reduce their dependence on corrective lenses. He completed ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Stein Eye Institute (UCLA) and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
